WELCOME TO THE W.P. CAREY MBA PROGRAM
These are exciting times for business professionals. Global markets
are expanding rapidly, opening new doors for multinational firms
while making them more susceptible to competition in their own backyard.
Fast-paced technological advances are making established product
and services obsolete, and they are changing the way business is
conducted. The W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University
is committed to providing advanced managerial education that will
prepare students for leadership in the dynamic business climate.
With an accession to the World Trade Organization, China commits
itself to global integration and will become an economy powerhouse
in the global markets for years to come. The WTO entry, however,
demands a financial infrastructure in the same way that new buildings
need plumbing and electrical wiring. This means an immense growth
opportunity for the State Owned Enterprises in the financial services
sector and those seeking investments and trading opportunities from
the multinational firms. To make this a reality, firms must invest
in human capital and develop global leaders.
W.P. Carey MBA program in China is designed to fulfill the preceding
mission - develop global leaders for China! The program builds a
solid foundation of advanced managerial knowledge with core courses
such as economics, management and strategy, followed by an immersion
in financial management taught by world-class faculty members from
Arizona State University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology,
NYU, MIT, Stanford and Yale. The aim of the unique curriculum is
to provide participants with a world class MBA education as they
assume greater managerial responsibilities to help China to meet
the challenges of WTO.
